Winters Wine: Turkovich Family Wines

One of the first people I met in Northern California, Marianne, a co-worker of my roommate, Mared. Marianne's husband, worked in Winter's California and we all met him in Winters at their favorite wine tasting room, Turkovich.

So, on a Friday evening, we made a quick jaunt from Vacaville to Winters for wine and cheese at the Turkovich family wine tasting room in downtown Winters. It was a gorgeous summer evening and we met for drinks outside.

Winters itself is a charming little town, another fantastic wine experience, Turkovich does not disappoint. Located at 304 Railroad Ave in downtown Winters, this little family owned tasting room has a pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff and good wine. Stop by in the evening for a cheese plate with your wine. The cheese comes from Winters Cheese Company and is owned by the Turkovich Family as well.

My favorite wine from Turkovich is The Boss, a mix of Petite Sirah, Syrah, Tempranillo, Grenach, Malbec and Cab.

If you want to get away from the crowds in Napa and have a great evening sipping some delicious wine paired with fresh, locally made cheese, I highly recommend Turkovich.
